Preventative healthcare is tailored to your pet's age, lifestyle, breed, and overall health. The goal of regular, preventative healthcare is to prevent or detect a disease process in the early stages, in order to maximize treatment sucesss when required. We do not perform elective declawing. The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) strongly opposes declawing (onychectomy) as an elective procedure. The AAFP consensus statement regarding declawing states: it is the obligation of veterinarians to provide cat owners with alternatives to declawing.

Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation (similar to physical therapy in humans)is the treatment of injury or illness to decrease pain and restore function. Goals of veterinary rehabilitation include: facilitate tissue healing, restore muscle strength, increase endurance and proprioception, prevent further injury, and re-condition the animal to its prior activity level. The first step in this process is to establish a thorough diagnosis. A complete orthopedic and neurologic examination will be performed before a rehabilitation program is initiated.
Nutrition Counseling
We provide education on food options tailored to your pet and your family. Raw, home cooked, canned, dehydrated, dry, prescription foods, etc.. Each patient and family are unique thus so are the recommendations.
Nutraceuticals and other Select Supplements
Services offer counseling to include vitamin D testing and appropriate supplementation, whole food supplements such as Standard Process, probiotics, essential fatty acids etc..
